A Rest Day in Cambridgeshire
Today I had a rest day with Rosalyn and Gareth in their home. It was a lovely restful day, and I’m afraid there’s no photos for today’s post.
I started with a lie in until 9am! This is very late for me. I’m an early riser and I’m normally awake by 7am, even at weekends. The clocks changing always makes me a bit more tired and disrupts my body clock, so it was good to get some rest in.
After a quiet morning, Gareth and I went to the shops, so he could get some food for tea, and I could resupply.
We then went to the cafe for lunch, which was lovely.
For the afternoon, I had a rest, watched some telly and aired my tent in the garden. It took a couple of goes to sort my tent, as the rain was adamant on starting just as my tent was almost dry – typical!
Rosalyn and Gareth looked after me so well, they even cooked a roast dinner for my tea. It has been so lovely to stay with them, and reminisce about times with my Nonna. They were good friends and it has been so lovely to spend time with them.
Tomorrow, I’ll set back off from Moulton and continue my journey, well rested from time with them.
